AERA offers the 2012 Annual Meeting Program mobile app to keep attendees up to date on all information about sessions and presentations. Users of the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, BlackBerry, and Android phones may download the app from the app store for their device; just search for AERA 2012.

Attendees are encouraged to download the app before leaving for Vancouver, to avoid international roaming charges. AERA will provide free WiFi at the Vancouver Convention Centre, which will allow the app to receive program updates on site. But waiting to download the entire app via the WiFi could result in long delays. So visit your app store now.

AERA also encourages attendees with smartphones to turn off their 3G service while on site and, instead, take advantage of the free WiFi. Phones may not default to the WiFi connection, and so to avoid international roaming charges, attendees may need to determine beforehand how to deactivate their 3G connection. As an alternative, attendees may wish to arrange in advance for a special service plan to use from within Canada.

Attendees without 3G smartphones will not be left out of the online fun. The 2012 Annual Meeting Program app is also available online to personal computer users.
