TICL Outstanding International Research Collaboration Award

The award recognizes international research collaborators who make substantial scholarly contributions to the intersection of the four disciplines: Technology, Instruction, Cognition and Learning. 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Include 2 or more individual researchers based in at least two different countries to reflect the international collaboration

• Have conducted collaborative research in the intersection of Technology, Instruction, Cognition and Learning in the last five years

• Hold a doctoral degree from an accredited institution in the area of Technology, Instruction, Cognition and Learning or a related field

Nomination Process and Timeline

Self or peer nominations are accepted. Nominations must include (1) letter of nomination including a rationale for how the international research collaborators have made substantial scholarly contributions to the intersection of Technology, Instruction, Cognition and Learning (500 word limit), (2) a list of scholarly output of the international collaboration including research grants, conference presentations, and publications, and (3) the curriculum vitae of all nominated collaborators.  Nominations are sent to the TICL Chair with the subject line "Outstanding Research Collaboration Award". 

Applications for the award are due by February 1. Notification to awardee and nominator will be sent via email by February 15.

Review/Selection Process and Timeline

All nominations are sent for review to the members of the Award Committee. They are evaluated against the four selection criteria outlined below.

Selection criteria

The selection criteria include (1) the quality of rationale in the nomination letter, (2) quality of scholarly output, (3) excellence of scholarship related to the intersection of Technology, Instruction, Cognition and Learning and (4) demonstrated impact of the international research collaboration.
