As a college professor who previously taught 31 years in grades K-8, I am convinced that student engagement and community/home/school partnerships depend on school staffs’ abilities to intentionally invite families to their learning communities. I am equally convinced that without engagement and partnerships, student success is impaired!  For almost three decades, the Invitational Learning (IL) SIG has promoted the study and practice of IL. How exciting it is to be among researchers growing the research base for authentic application of this most integral element of high achieving schools. Thank you for joining us!
