As a college professor who previously taught 31 years in grades K-8, I am convinced that student engagement and community/home/school partnerships depend on school staffs’ abilities to intentionally invite families to their learning communities. I am equally convinced that without engagement and partnerships, student success is impaired!  For almost three decades, the Invitational Learning (IL) SIG has promoted the study and practice of IL.
