Urgent Request on NSF Grant Termination

To document the consequences of NSF grant terminations in April and May, AERA is partnering with other scientific societies to build a comprehensive database. Since June 6, AERA has been reaching out to all principal investigators (PIs) and co-PIs of affected NSF grants from across fields of science and types of awards to gather information on the impacts. Survey responses are requested as soon as possible and ideally by July 10. Learn more

AERA Selects James A. Banks to Deliver 2025 Brown Lecture in Education Research

AERA Joins in Lawsuit Against NSF Grant Terminations

AERA—in partnership with the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), American Association of University Professors (AAUP), Women in Engineering ProActive Network (WEPAN), and United Auto Workers (UAW)—has filed a lawsuit challenging DOGE’s unlawful mass terminations of grants at the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the consequent harms to AERA, many of our members, and America’s scientific research enterprise.
