Online registration is now closed. On-site registration will occur in the Hilton New York, Rhinelander Gallery beginning at 5pm on Sunday, March 23.
The Final Print Program is now available for viewing and downloading purposes. Please view the 2008 Annual Meeting Program Errata for edits to the final program. Program books will be distributed at the Annual Meeting at On-site Registration in the Hilton New York, Rhinelander Gallery, 2nd Floor. The Online Searchable Program is available for use. Please direct all inquiries to annualmtg@aera.net.
All requests for changes to the program must be received by Friday, February 15, 12:00 a.m. (midnight) EST. Any requests received after this point will unfortunately not be able to be incorporated into the printed program. Please direct all requests to annualmtg@aera.net.
The online proposal upload function is now open to all submitters for uploading a full version of their paper. The deadline for paper upload is March 1, 2008. Paper upload is mandatory for all papers accepted into paper sessions. Paper discussion sessions (formerly known as Roundtables) and Poster Sessions are not required to upload full versions of their papers. Paper upload instructions (PDF).

Housing and Hotel Information
To make a new reservation or modify an existing reservation please contact the AERA Housing Bureau at 1-800-262-9974. You will only be able to make a new reservation after completing the registration process. Existing reservations can be modified or cancelled online. Annual Meeting Headquarters
The majority of sessions will be held at the Hilton New York, the Sheraton New York, the Marriott Marquis, and the Crowne Plaza Times Square. The AERA 2008 Annual Meeting Exhibition (March 25–27) will be held at the Hilton New York. On-site registration will also be held at Hilton New York.

Career Center
The AERA Career Center, held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting, is scheduled for March 25–27. Employers and job seekers who plan to attend the Annual Meeting are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to meet with your prospects. Information for Persons with Disabilities
The American Educational Research Association is committed to offering an accessible environment for persons with disabilities. The Association strives to support persons with special needs attending the Annual Meeting. Most hotels are accessible to the disabled, including participants who may need interpreting or any other form of special assistance. Please check the appropriate box on the Registration Form, indicate your room request in the Housing section of the form, and attach a note outlining specific needs to make the meeting more accessible. A note from a physician may be requested under extreme circumstances. Attendees with special needs are also encouraged to visit the Disability Assistance (ADA) Services Desk located in the On-site Registration area in the Rhinelander Gallery of the Hilton New York hotel should the need arise. In addition, during the Annual Meeting, persons with disabilities who desire a place to relax are invited to visit the AERA Comfort Rooms located at the Hilton New York and Marriott Marquis hotels. Child Care — Advance registration deadline: February 25, 2008
Child care services will be provided by KiddieCorp at the Hilton New York for children of all ages, from infants to adolescents. KiddieCorp’s experienced staff will include an on-site supervisor. The organization is bonded and insured. Nutritious snacks and beverages along with age-appropriate toys, games, movies, and cartoons will be provided. Ratios of staff to children are 1 to 2 for infants, 1 to 3 for toddlers, and 1 to 5 for school age children. Child care services will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. on the first day of the Annual Meeting (Monday, March 24), and from 8:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. on subsequent days except for the last day (Friday, March 28), when service will conclude at 3:45 p.m. To ensure the program is properly staffed and to facilitate the planning of games and other activities for the children, advance registration is required. On-site registration may be available, at a slightly higher cost, if space permits. KiddieCorp is available to answer any questions regarding the child care services it provides. AERA is pleased to offer all meeting attendees a selection of off-site visits and tours. Details are available on the Off-site Visits and Tours page. Interested attendees may sign-up for off-site visits and tours as part of the pre-registration process. Individuals who have already registered may add off-site visits and tours by accessing their registration file online, using the link included in their registration confirmation e-mail. National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME)
