AERA to Comment on Proposed Changes to Civil Rights Data Collection, Urges Member Engagement
AERA is planning to comment on proposed changes by the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights to the Civil Rights Data Collection, which were published in a Federal Register notice on September 19. AERA urges members with an interest in these data to submit comments by November 18. Read more

Reminder – IES Director Mark Schneider Seeks Feedback on Off-Cycle Competitions and Research Topics

HEA Reauthorization Kicks Off With Introduction of House and Senate Legislation
On October 16, the House Education and Labor Committee introduced the College Affordability Act, which would reauthorize the Higher Education Act. Most pertinent for education researchers, the legislation includes provisions of the College Transparency Act. Read more
