In 2017–18, the AERA Congressional Fellowship Program included four appointments: Jennifer Ayscue worked in the offices of Senators Al Franken (D-MN) and Tina Smith (D-MN); Paul Rubin worked in the office of Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA); Zewelanji Serpell worked in the House Committee on Education and the Workforce for Ranking Member Bobby Scott (D-VA); and Kathryn Wentzel worked in the office of Congressman Tim Ryan (D-OH).
