MC/ME SIG Chair (2025-2027)

Greetings!

Welcome to the webpage of the Multicultural/Multiethnic Education: Theory, Research, and Practice Special Interest Group!

The purpose of the MC/ME SIG is to provide a forum for the introduction, promotion, consideration, and interaction of theory, research, and practices regarding multicultural and multiethnic education, broadly defined, within all educational, cultural, societal, and social settings, contexts, levels, and locations. Our organization seeks to provide an intellectual space for scholarly discourse on topics that are of interest to both Pre K-12 and Postsecondary researchers and practitioners. The work that we do is increasingly important in today’s socio-political landscape, and we aim to provide spaces for this critical discourse as we work to support people in our schools and universities.

We look forward to engaging new and continuing members in active dialogue year-round! Please follow us on social media via Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram for information about events, resources, and other opportunities. We also invite you to submit proposals for the annual AERA conference and join us for our Business Meeting and other exciting sessions during the annual meeting!

Thank you for your active engagement with our SIG! We look forward to an exciting year!

Sincerely,

Christopher Sewell, Ed.D.
Chair (2025 - 2027)
