Graduate Travel Award

AERA INTERNATIONAL STUDIES SIG 54

CRITERIA & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR GRADUATE TRAVEL AWARD

International Studies SIG encourages graduate student members to submit papers to our SIG each year! Those papers that are accepted for presentation at the Annual Meeting then qualify for consideration for a travel award.   The purpose of the "Graduate Student Travel Award" is to support graduate students whose papers were accepted for presentation in the International Studies SIG session at the AERA Annual Meeting. The award helps offset travel and related costs and affirms the scholarly contribution of emerging researchers.

AERA notifies successful authors around November each year of accepted papers. If you are a graduate student with an accepted paper in our SIG, consider applying for this travel award no later than January 5.

Award: Our goal is to support as many qualified graduate student candidates as possible. Therefore, award amounts may range between $300 to $500, depending on applications and other factors.
