| Abstract: |
Contrary to global researchers' increasing interests in decolonization in recent decades, Asian researchers' decolonization efforts have been neglected by the global academia as the lack of researchers' understanding and attention to Asia's different de/colonial experiences. To address the perception gap on decolonization between Global and Asian scholars, this study critically reviews 56 Asian educational studies published since 2010 affected by decolonization. Four themes emerged from the literature review: (a) applying decolonial framework, (b) bringing Asian perspectives to decolonization, (c) developing Asian topics and methodologies, and (d) critiques of decolonization. This literature review sheds light on the progress and challenges of decolonial studies in Asia with the goal of contributing to global decolonial collaboration and transnational solidarity to promote epistemic pluriversality.
