| Abstract: |
The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the IMFR, a tool for measuring school implementation of integrated MTSS, a model which provides multiple levels of coordinated supports to meet the academic and behavioral needs of all learners. The combination of the widespread use of MTSS, the complexities of implementation, and the lack of psychometric evidence to support existing measures, highlights the need for further development. The current study is addressing these limitations by developing and validating a tool to examine: 1) the relationship between the implementation of the essential components of MTSS (as measured by the tool) and student outcomes; 2) the perceived utility of the IMFR; and 3) the cost associated with tool use.
