| Abstract: |
China has consistently been the leading country to send the highest number of visiting scholars abroad (Institute of International Education, 2018). Notwithstanding a great deal of research exploring immigrant students’experiences (Xu, 2017) and the general trend of Chinese students studying abroad (Zhou et al.,2020), there is still a paucity of literature focusing on the international cross-cultural experiences of Chinese visiting scholars’children who are also young sojourners. Therefore, this narrative inquiry aims to fill the gap by studying five Chinese children’s experiences between Canada and China with a focus on how they made sense of the visit. Within the three-dimensional inquiry space (Clandinin & Connelly, 2000), field texts were collected via observation, artifacts, casual conversations, interviews, and official documents.
