| Abstract: |
In this paper we advocate for actively including minority students in the research process and creating a supportive and academic environment that instills a sense of belonging and community. Our paper is both a manifesto (urging scholars to use inclusive participatory research in their own daily practice) and a guide (explaining how it can be done from the research design phase to the final publication). The aim is to create more inclusivity through participatory research, and to share how an inclusive educational platform helps train, include and give voice to underrepresented minority students. In the paper, we share our methodological practice and experience in two of our most recent research projects (“documenting the undocumented” and “our migration history”).
