| Abstract: |
Many technology-based grammar instruction resources are available to meet the needs of schools and students. Educators should know whether the technology they have chosen is better than traditional grammar instruction (paper-and-pencil). This paper studied the free grammar tool Noredink, specifically active and passive voice. Twenty-two 10th-grade students were participants, with 11 receiving instruction using traditional methods, and 11 receiving instruction using Noredink. The study involved a pre-test, post-test, and Likert scale survey with student comments. The findings showed that the students who learned using Noredink performed better on the post-test and had more positive feelings about instruction through technology, compared to the control group, which documented lower performance as well as negative feelings about receiving instruction using traditional methods.
