Dear Members:

It is my pleasure to serve as VP of Division L, as this has been my home in AERA for over 20 years. I have witnessed substantial growth and change in the Division over the past two decades, and I view that as a response to the demands of the field. Division L is a space in which scholars, policymakers, and practitioners analyze policy through a variety of theoretical lenses, while employing quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methodological approaches.

Division L is committed to disseminating research that is thoughtful, rigorous, and consequential. More importantly, we endeavor to provide an environment where all feel safe…regardless of our differences. As such, it is my sincere hope that you find a home in Division L, a division that supports scholarship that can move the field forward.

Please take a moment to peruse our site and view the Division’s current leadership and areas of focus. We have more planned for Spring 2025, so stay tuned! We will see you in Denver, if not before.
