Message From AERA's President: Why You Need to Come to Philadelphia
Celebrating AERA’s 98th birthday, this year’s meeting has been created on the 21st-century theme of innovation, beckoning researchers to think hard about change and reform. 

  
AERA Appoints Inaugural Editors for AERA Open
AERA has announced the appointment of Mark Warschauer, Greg J. Duncan, and Jacquelynne Eccles as the inaugural editors of AERA Open, effective July 1. All three are professors at the University of California–Irvine. Warschauer will serve as editor in chief, and Duncan and Eccles as co-editors.



Schneider, Bryk, Snow, Sullivan Among Headliners at 2014 Annual Meeting
The 2014 Annual Meeting, to be held in Philadelphia this year (April 3–7), offers a distinguished list of speakers. This AERA annual event is the single largest gathering of scholars in the education research field.



New AERA Fellows to Be Inducted at 2014 Annual Meeting
AERA has announced the selection of 22 scholars as new AERA Fellows, recognized for their exceptional scientific or scholarly contributions to education research or significant contributions to the field through the development of research opportunities and settings. 



AERA Offers Roster of Courses at 2014 Annual Meeting
A rich program of 26 professional development and training courses will be offered at the forthcoming AERA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, including four that will be streamed live through the AERA Virtual Research Learning Center. 



AERA Council Endorses Singapore Statement on Research Integrity
The AERA Council unanimously approved the endorsement of the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity during its February meeting.

AERA-MET Dissertation Fellowship Deadline Extended to March 25
The AERA-MET Dissertation Fellowship Program provides funding and professional development and training to dissertation-stage graduate students who use the MET data.



JEBS Seeks Manuscripts for Special Issue on Work of Early Career Scholars – Deadline: May 1
The Journal of Educational and Behavioral Statistics is planning a special issue featuring promising work from early career scholars.
