AERA Launches 2022 Virtual Research Learning Series—Register Now

AERA launched the 2022 Virtual Research Learning Series on May 18, offering four professional development courses on important education research topics. Taught by leading experts in the field, the series runs to June 23. All courses will include interaction, active discussion, and Q&A with participants.

AERA is charging a course fee of $40 each. Registration includes not only the four-hour real-time class experience but also continued on-demand access to the recorded course through the AERA Virtual Research Learning Center (VRLC). 

The courses focus on topics in quantitative and qualitative research methods, with some courses using examples from publicly available datasets such as the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP). Designed to reach participants at multiple skill levels, the courses are appropriate for graduate students, early career scholars, and other researchers who seek to increase their knowledge and enhance research skills.

Levine. “Our excellent faculty and the content and discussion they will offer will be especially valuable to our next generation of researchers.”

  • RL2022-1: Three Approaches to Qualitative Data Analysis
    Wednesday, May 18, 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. ET
  • RL2022-2: Analyzing NAEP and TIMSS Data Using R
    Thursday, June 2, 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. ET
  • RL2022-3: Advanced Meta-Analysis
    Thursday, June 16, 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. ET
  • RL2022-4: Advanced Process Data Analytics using NAEP
    Thursday, June 23, 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. ET
