Annual Meeting Online Platform to Open April 1

March 2022

The 2022 AERA Annual Meeting online platform will open Friday, April 1, when registered attendees will be able to log in, set up a profile, and become familiar with the platform. Whether attendees are participating in the Annual Meeting virtually or on site in San Diego, the Pathable site will serve as the online platform and mobile app. Both virtual and place-based sessions are fully integrated into the schedule.

Annual meeting presenters, chairs, exhibitors, and other attendees will receive an email from no-reply@pathable.com (with the sender name "AERA Annual Meeting") with a personalized link that will allow them to access their account on the platform. Note that this personalized link must be used to view any virtual sessions. Annual meeting participants are strongly encouraged to set up their profile in advance of the conference to avoid technical issues.

“We are excited to provide you with a secure and interactive online community and app for the conference,” said AERA Executive Director Felice J. Levine. “This dynamic, user-friendly site will foster engagement and collaboration before, during, and after the event itself.”

Training sessions were provided the week of March 23 on how to use the online platform. For the best user experience, attendees are encouraged to access the platform on Chrome or Firefox.

After signing in to the platform, attendees will be able to:

  • Complete their profile to participate in the community
  • Build a personalized agenda of sessions to attend
  • Meet fellow attendees in conversation rooms
  • Pre-schedule private, one-on-one virtual meetings
  • Engage with meeting sponsors and exhibitors

The online platform will host the schedule and include information relevant to all the place-based and virtual components of the meeting. (All virtual sessions delivered through the platform will be Zoom sessions, to maximize familiarity to presenters and attendees.) The platform will be accessible to all attendees—whether they have registered for the virtual meeting only or are registered for the place-based meeting in San Diego and want to access virtual sessions. Whether an attendee is place-based or virtual-only, the online platform can be used to connect with others regardless of their physical location.
