AERA is launching a Virtual Research Learning Series that will offer nine professional development courses on a breadth of topics. Taught by leading experts in the field, the series runs from May through September. All courses will include interaction, active discussion, and Q&A with participants. 

Registration for all courses opens May 5. To maximize access to these courses for education researchers during these challenging times, AERA is charging only a modest fee of only $35 each. Registration includes not only the four-hour real-time class experience but also continued on-demand access to the recorded course through the AERA Virtual Research Learning Center (VRLC). 

The courses focus on skill development in implementing statistical techniques, communicating and writing research, qualitative research methods, and other research capacity–building areas. Designed to reach participants at multiple skill levels, the courses are appropriate for graduate students, early career scholars, and other researchers who seek to increase their knowledge and enhance research skills. 

“During these uncertain times AERA remains committed to providing strong professional development and training opportunities, in particular for graduate students and early scholars,” said AERA Executive Director Felice J. Levine. “We are excited about the series and the excellent faculty who have signed on to offer valuable content and discussion to especially our next generation of researchers.”
