Of the many AERA Division C initiatives geared toward young scholars, the New Faculty Mentoring Program has most directly impacted my career trajectory. I was able to seek feedback from, and network with, world-class scholars in my area of specialization. When I began my career, I knew that it was important for me to have a supportive network of individuals who are, or have, navigated the tenure-track process. However, I did not know that the New Faculty Mentoring Program would be so instrumental in the construction of my faculty support system. My Division C colleagues and I continue to strategize about ways of making scholarly contributions while remaining committed to classroom practice and the development of educational innovations. These conversations have undoubtedly contributed to my own professional development, and they have affected the way I view my role as an educational researcher.
