2016 CTBE Outstanding Early Career Award

The CTBE SIG’s 2016 Outstanding Early Career Award is given to Dr. Mei, Hoyt, Assistant Professor at Northern Texas University. The award is given based on her effort in promoting East-West educational dialogues. Dr. Hoyt published two journal articles closely related to the CTBE themes, with the two journals acceptance rate at 20~30%. She also made six AERA presentations related to the SIG themes. In addition to her publications, Dr. Hoyt organized the Invited Lecture Series for Confucian and Daoist scholars at the University of North Texas, and she is presently working as the Program Chair for the SIG’s meeting at AERA. Finally, for the past three years Dr. Hoyt has served as the SIG’s Communication Chair and maintained its website and Facebook page. All these service activities require significant time, effort, and commitment, and are essential to CTBE goals and its visibility in the professional community.

Congratulation, Dr. Mei Hoyt!
