Joyce King Voted as AERA President-Elect
Joyce E. King, a Georgia State University professor who is expert in teacher education and Black culture and education, has been voted president-elect of the AERA. Her term as president begins at the conclusion of AERA’s 2014 Annual Meeting, after one year of service as president-elect. Read more

New AERA Fellows to Be Inducted at 2013 Annual Meeting
AERA has announced the selection of 23 scholars as 2013 AERA Fellows. These individuals are being recognized for their exceptional scientific or scholarly contributions to education research or significant contributions to the field through the development of research opportunities and settings. AERA Makes First 12 Grants Through New ERSP Initiative
In February, 12 projects were selected to receive awards through the Education Research Service Projects (ERSP) initiative. This new AERA initiative is designed to encourage education researchers to offer their pro bono expertise to educational organizations, institutions, or other community groups that have identified and expressed a need for such assistance. New RRE Volume Released
This month, AERA releases the 2013 volume of Review of Research in Education (RRE). The volume, entitled “Extraordinary Pedagogies for Working Within School Settings Serving Nondominant Students,” includes ten informative chapters covering a broad array of sociocultural issues. Read more
