Lawrence-Lightfoot, Rumbaut to Give Distinguished Lectures at Annual Meeting
AERA President Vivian L. Gadsden has announced that Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot and Rubén Rumbaut will give the two major distinguished lectures at the 2017 Annual Meeting.

Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, introduced the “Scientific Integrity Bill” (S. 338) on February 7.
 
House Education Committee Kicks Off With Hearings on School Choice and Higher Education 
The House Education and Workforce Committee launched its legislative agenda for the 115th Congress, holding two hearings in February focused on education policy.
