On May 21, the Federal Register published a request for comments from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on a proposed Statistical Policy Directive for federal statistical agencies. The proposed policy describes the key responsibilities of a federal statistical agency and incorporates the framework provided in Principles and Practices for a Federal Statistical Agency from the National Research Council’s Committee on National Statistics. Comments are due Monday, July 21, and can be submitted through the regulations.gov portal or by emailing DirectiveNo1@omb.eop.gov.
