Dissemination planning and implementation
FINAL REPORT:
For two years, Michael Huberman has worked with the Office of Research, Evaluation and Dissemination of the National Science Foundation. During his first year, he gave an "experimental" seminar, in which participants applied to their projects the core material describing how research, instructional products and innovations are disseminated successfully to other organizations. During the second year, with the appointment of a dissemination specialist (Prof. D. Ely), Huberman assisted on three fronts: helping to devise a dissemination guidebook for all Directorates in the Division of Human Resources and Education, advising Directorates on their dissemination plans, and helping with special events (e.g., the Dissemination Forum) At present, Ely and Huberman are designing a tracer study to assess some of the impacts of NSF projects on selected publics.
