AERA Virtual Research Learning Center to Offer Live Webcasts During Annual Meeting

AERA’s Virtual Research Learning Center (VRLC) will offer live webcasts of five professional development and training courses during the 2013 Annual Meeting. Course participants from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection will have full access to these selected courses. Within the virtual environment, participants will see and hear the courses live, participate in course discussions, and interact with the instructors and other participants.

The courses that will be webcast from the 2013 AERA Annual Meeting are:

These courses will also be available on demand through the VRLC library after the Annual Meeting. Anyone attending these courses on site or viewing them live will also be granted access to subsequent viewings.

The VRLC offers, in virtual space, education and training related to education research for wide audiences of graduate students, scholars, researchers, policy makers, practitioners, journalists, and others who use and develop research around the world. It has the capacity to deliver education research courses and training through multiple formats such as live webcasts, webinars, podcasts, expert discussions, and other media innovations.
