The AERA Nominating Committee seeks recommendations of candidates for AERA-wide offices. Each year, the Committee advances a slate of nominations for the offices of President-Elect and Member-at-Large (2 positions). Members are encouraged to recommend names of persons with experience appropriate to both of these posts. The nominees will run for office in the 2019 election.

The President-Elect serves a one-year term in the elect position, serves as President in the second year, and serves as Past President in the third year. The person elected for this position will be President during the 2021 Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL. Candidates for two Member-at-Large positions will also be running for election. Both will serve a three-year term on the AERA Council commencing at the end of the 2019 Annual Meeting. The candidate receiving the highest number of votes will also serve for three years on the AERA Executive Board.
