Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to be taking over the leadership of Division I, but following Ara Tekian as vice- president is no easy task! Ara has been zealous in pushing us to grow the membership of the division, to engage in the central issues facing AERA as an organization, to bring our research to bear on practice in the multiple professions in which our members are involved, and to care deeply about the learning, teaching, and educational research that are at the core of our work in professional education. I am sure that Ara will continue to challenge us to ask how, why, and what and to engage in the type of scholarship that helps us to answer these essential questions about education in the professions.
