The AERA Membership year runs on a calendar basis.  

• New or returning members, who join between January 1 and September 30 will pay the dues rate for the current calendar year and receive back issues of the appropriate journals back to January of that year. 
• New or returning members, who join from October 1 through December 31, will pay the dues rate for the calendar year of January 1 through December 31 of the upcoming year. 

Members receive access to:

• Complimentary subscriptions to Educational Researcher (ER) and one additional journal of choice out of AERA’s five highly respected, peer-reviewed journals that feature the field’s leading research. In addition, AERA Open is freely available to all.
• Additional journals at the low rate of $20 per journal (just $10 for students).
• JSTOR and JPASS available at a special discounted rate for members (Once a member, Login to view "Special Member Offers").
• Member discounts on all AERA books plus SAGE Publications and Corwin Press books.
• AERA Online Paper Repository, an archival record of scientific presentations from 2010 forward of AERA Annual Meetings.
