San Francisco

Dear Graduate Students:

Would you like to give back to the Community which will be graciously hosting us this upcoming April at the AERA Annual Conference? Then consider signing up for the GSC Community Service Project: Beautifying Compass Facilities to Provide Homes and Shelter to San Francisco Families!

This year we are partnering up with COMPASS (http://compass-sf.org/), a non-profit organization that has been a part of the San Francisco community for ninety years.  Over its ninety years of existence, Compass has transitioned to meet the changing needs of the San Francisco community, providing services to refugees, military personnel during wars, transient single adults, and now, family homelessness and poverty.  Today, Compass helps provide families the tools they need to achieve long-lasting stability and self-sufficiency. Help us help COMPASS continue to service the San Francisco community by beautifying their service facilities.

The Project will take place on Friday, April, 26, from 8 am until 4 pm.  This is the day for pre-conference activities, so you won't miss any of the sessions you are looking forward to attending! There is a small cost of $25, which will be used to provide transportation and lunch to participants. Registration to participate is available when you register for the annual meeting via AERA.net.
