This award is meant to stimulate and recognize outstanding contributions that individuals have made to increasing practitioner and lay-group understanding of the contributions of educational research to the improvement of educational practice. The "Interpretive Scholarship" category recognizes individuals who have published in a non-research publication, such as an interpretive article, testimony etc. (i.e., not a book-length work), that relates research to practice.
